Filhet-Allard Maritime (FAM), a leading maritime insurance broker headquartered in France, is pleased to announce the opening of its London office. This move further solidifies its position as a key player in international trade, shipping, and industrial markets and broadens its reach to serve clients in one of the world’s most strategic hubs for maritime support services.
Filhet-Allard Maritime UK has attained FCA Authorised Representative status and is therefore fully licensed to transact insurance business with UK based clients and carriers. Christian Barnabé, Managing Director of Filhet-Allard Maritime, said today of the news: “As we continue to grow, having direct access to the London insurance market is a key part of our strategy to deliver the best risk and insurance outcomes for our clients.”
The London office will be led by Matt Cannock who is relocating from Latitude Brokers in Singapore (A Filhet-Allard Maritime company) to take on the role. “FAM has always been a client-orientated organisation. We therefore need to engage with the most relevant insurance markets globally to be able to serve clients effectively, and London is certainly one of those.” Cannock said.
Henry Allard, President of Filhet-Allard Maritime, and the sixth generation of his family to lead the firm added “As we approach our 180th anniversary, we are thrilled to expand our global footprint. The London office will create new possibilities for both us and for our clients”.
